Bedding question

Just wondering if anyone uses Equine Pine in their litterboxes - I know that pine is a big no-no, but this stuff is compressed pine pellets....what do you all think?

    I would say no.

My buns use their hay box as litter box. They hate all litters and never potty outside of their box.

We use the flushable paper kind. So convenient! tinyurl.com/2d3avt

Please be careful with flushable litter, it can pass all sorts of infections onto other species that live down stream, like otters.
Regular throw away stuff is much kinder to the environment.

What?? Downstream? I'm fairly certain my toilet doesn't flush into a stream. What infections? We don't have any otters here.

Can you explain you comment a little better? How is flushing bunny litter different than flushing any/everything else that goes down a toilet?

I've had good experience with both Care Fresh and Yesterday's News (a recycled paper pellet litter).
I'm currently using Care Fresh and my girls are doing very well with their litterbox habits. And, I'm proud to say that when people come over to my house they can't smell the rabbits! :o)

I came across a website that was about Yesterday's News about foreign objects (staples, hard plastic) found in bags. I'm not sure if anyone else has come across this issue, but I thought I'd make mention of it, just in case;)

I never had any foreign objects show up in Yesterday's News when I used it, but I can certainly see how this could happen. I plan on sticking with CareFresh!

Speaking of strange objects found in bunny stuff...has anyone ever had dried grasshoppers in their hay? Or bird seed or peanuts show up in food pellets?
One morning I noticed something out of the ordinary in the cage...it was a shelled peanut! I was completely baffled on how it got there. I don't buy shelled peanuts. The bunnies didn't really eat it...the shell was chewed up a bit, but that was it. We had a good laugh about the mysterious appearance of the peanut!
